Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) has manufactured 180 fuselage units for AH-64 Apache helicopters till date.
The fuselages are meant largely for export to meet demand for Boeing's Apache helicopter global supply chain.
This information was confirmed to Defense Mirror by a Boeing spokesperson at the ongoing Aero India 2023 show in Yelahanka, Bengaluru.
In January, TBAL handed over the first of six fuselages for the Indian Army’s AH-64 Apache attack helicopters. The first Apache will be handed over to the Indian Army in February 2024.
In addition to producing Apache fuselages, TBAL’s 14,000 sqm facility in Hyderabad is also tasked with making complex aerostructures for Boeing 737 and 777 models.
Fuselages built at the facility are dispatched to Arizona, U.S., for final assembly.
