Australia is likely to sign a contract for 255 Javelin missiles worth $60 million, now that it has received approval from U.S. authorities.
On Tuesday, the U.S. State Department said it cleared the sale of Javelin FGM-148F missiles and related equipment to Canberra for an estimated cost of $60.18 million.
The prime U.S. contractor will be the Javelin Joint Venture between Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL and Raytheon Missiles and Defense in Tucson, AZ.
