Two drones, reportedly launched by Ukrainian Forces, were disabled over the Kremlin Fort in Moscow on Wednesday night, which houses the office of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Kremlin alleged that the two drones targeted it and said Putin was not injured.
“As a result of timely actions taken by the military and special services using radar systems, the devices were put out of action. As a result of their fall and scattering of fragments on the territory of the Kremlin, there were no casualties and material damage," Kremlin’s press service said in a statement.
The Kremlin regarded these actions as "a planned terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the President of the Russian Federation, carried out on the eve of Victory Day, the May 9 Parade, at which the presence of foreign guests is also planned."
It warned that the “Russian side reserves the right to take retaliatory measures where and when it sees fit.”
