The Russian military launched airstrikes with long-range weapons on the airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), destroying command posts, radar posts, aircraft and ammunition depots on Monday.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said, "Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with long-range precision air-launched weapons against enemy targets at airfields."
According to him, the purpose of the strike was achieved, all designated objects were destroyed.
Three Storm Shadow Missiles Intercepted
Air defenses intercepted three air-launched storm shadow missiles, he said.
