PBS, Ukraine's Ivchenko-Progress sign MoU to develop new drone engine

Czech company PBS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ukraine’s Ivchenko-Progress to develop new AI-PBS-350 engine to power drones.

In an official statement, Prvni brnenska strojirna Velka Bites, a.s. (PBS) said the agreement was signed on June 19.

The AI-PBS-350 engine is designed for use with cruise missiles and drones.

The companies will also identify new joint commercial and development projects in the aerospace, defense, and energy industries.

  • Maximum thrust: 3.400 N (765.76 lbf)
  • Weight: 51 kg
  • Outer diameter: 298 mm
  • Length: 706 mm
  • Electrical power output: 5.0 kW
