The commander of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ (IRGC) Aerospace Division Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh said Iran’s first hypersonic missile ‘Fattah’ may have a range of 2,000km in the future.
Speaking during a ceremony at University of Mazandaran on June 21, Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh said the next version of the missile may have a range of 2000km, compared to its current range of 1,400km.
The missile can travel at a speed of up to Mach 15, which is 15 times the speed of sound. It is also able to penetrate all air defense systems and detonate them due to its high maneuverability and speed.
