Turkey’s Otokar has unveiled its new combat unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), called the Alpar that can perform missions together with manned and unmanned vehicles on the battlefield.
This was reported by SavunmaSanayiST.
This UGV is suitable for missions such as advanced reconnaissance and surveillance, as well as different missions such as fire support vehicle, logistic support vehicle, air defense vehicle and anti-tank vehicle.
The maximum weight of the UGV is 15 tons, which allows it to be transported by air.
Alpar is armed with a multi-role turret system. The weapon system can be fitted with a range of medium-caliber guns and is compatible with anti-tank missiles.
The UGV stands out with its low thermal signature and its rapidly replaceable battery modules.
The ALPAR hull accommodates additional drones that can expand the vehicle’s capabilities on the battlefield.
ALPAR can be controlled remotely and operate in autonomous mode if necessary.
