Lockheed Martin and the Ministry of Defence of Poland have concluded an arrangement outlining offset obligations in support of the PAC-3 WISLA Phase II program.
The agreement creates eight new projects and provide new areas of technology, training, and technical assistance to the Polish defence industrial base.
Projects include growing hardware-in-the-loop capability, which expands missile system test abilities with PGZ (Radom)and PCO (Warsaw), expanding the capacity for launch tube production at WZL-1 (Deblin) and aircraft maintenance at WZL-2 (Bydgoszcz). Another project will provide training, equipment and software to support solid rocket motor production by Mesko (Skarzysko-Kamienna).
Poland’s defense minister Mariusz Błaszczak said the Polish defense industry will co-produce certain elements for PATRIOT radars. Another offset commitment concerns the possibility of producing fuel for HIMARS rockets. “Now we are negotiating another agreement on equipping the Polish Army with HIMARS missiles, which prove fantastic on the battlefield in the hands of brave Ukrainians” the minister said.
Poland also wants to service and provide operational support to F-16 and C-130 aircraft.
