KLM Flight Academy has decided to replace its AVGAS fleet with jet-fuel powered Diamond training aircraft, which burns up to 50% less fuel and produces less CO2 and noise emissions.
KLM Flight Academy is based at Groningen Airport Eelde (the Netherlands).
They are replacing their training fleet with 12 single-engine DA40 NG and two additional twin-engine DA42-VI, both powered by the 168 HP jet fuel AE300 from Austro Engine. The firm order will see the first deliveries take place in Q1/2024 and will bring KLM’s fleet of Diamond training aircraft to 18 in total (6 DA42-VI, 12 DA40 NG).
