Poland's 340 AEW aircraft @Saab

Saab officially handed over the initial Saab 340 Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft to Poland during a ceremony in Linköping.

This event occurred on 29 September, two months after Poland placed an order for two AEW aircraft. The aircraft are equipped with Saab’s Erieye radar.

The Saab 340 AEW, in conjunction with its associated ground equipment, delivers a comprehensive situational awareness picture that can be utilized for both military and civilian purposes, such as air surveillance and search and rescue operations.
