U.A.E.’s EDGE Group said its subsidiary EPI signed a deal with Airbus Defence & Space under the C295 Project involving manufacture and supply of multirole cargo compartment removable tanks (CCRT) for Airbus.
This contract was facilitated by the Tawazun Council. In line with the project's scope, EPI will handle the procurement of raw materials, machining, sheet metal forming, surface treatment procedures, and the assembly of approximately 150 or more hard and soft metallic parts for the C295 Project.
The CCRT tank, designed by Airbus, serves multiple purposes, including Ground Refuelling (GR) operations, Extended Range (ER) operations, and Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) operations. This partnership underscores Tawazun Council's commitment to empowering the defense and aviation sectors and boosting the capabilities of local industries.
