Russian Air Force Receives Fifth Batch of Su-35S Fighters this Year, Su-57 Jets on Way

Russian Aerospace Forces Received the fourth batch of Su-35S fighter jets this week making it the highest production of this aircraft in a single year.

In addition, a second batch of Su-57 stealth jet for this year is scheduled to be delivered before the end of 2023, Rostec, the parent company of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) announced today.

“Along with today’s delivery of the multifunctional Su-35S, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant is preparing to deliver the next batch of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters by the end of the year,” said Yuri Slyusar, General Director of UAC.

“The Su-35S is one of the main fighters in service with the Russian army and today clearly confirms its high performance in real combat conditions. The aircraft is distinguished by highly effective long-range air-to-air and air-to-surface guided weapons, as well as an advanced electronic countermeasures and defense system,” said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of the Rostec State Corporation.

In addition to the Su-35S and the Su-57, UAC has delivered a couple of batches of Su-34 aircraft, the heaviest fighter in Russian inventory. which has been upgraded to carry the Kinzhal hypersonic missile
