U.S. Navy Seals, Indian Marine Commandos Train Together

In a collaborative effort to bolster maritime capabilities and fortify their enduring alliance, a U.S. Navy SEAL Team engaged in joint training exercises with the Indian Marine Commando Force (MARCOS) from October 20 to November 11, 2023.

The comprehensive tactical training encompassed maritime interdiction operations, close-quarters combat, tactical combat casualty care, and casualty evacuation procedures. Emphasizing the shared commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific, the exercises aimed to augment the collective proficiency of both nations.

Throughout the training, the forces executed multiple target assault iterations and maritime interdiction operations. The joint exchange culminated in two full-mission profiles — a direct-action raid and a maritime interdiction operation.

The exercises not only reinforced the strong strategic partnership between the U.S. and India but also showcased their dedication to the principles of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
