Turkey's ASELSAN-made AESA radar, "Murad," has been integrated into the AKINCI combat UAV alongside an unidentified fighter jet for flight tests scheduled to commence in 2024.

Work is progressing on the Murad AESA Nose Radar, which has been under development for platforms such as the AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and F-16. This radar, developed with national resources, has now been integrated into both the AKINCI TİHA and an unnamed jet platform.

Following optimization studies, the Murad AESA Radar is anticipated to undergo flight tests rapidly in 2024. The experience gained in this field is emphasized as critical for platforms such as KIZILELMA, KAAN, HÜRJET, and ANKA-3.

The number of countries currently capable of developing AESA Nose Radar can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
