L3Harris is set to provide 11 WESCAM MX-20D electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor systems to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for integration into Canada's MQ-9B SkyGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS).

The delivery of these systems to GA-ASI is scheduled to commence in 2024, with the first MQ-9B SkyGuardian aircraft expected to be delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in 2028.

The deployment of L3Harris' WESCAM MX-20D EO/IR systems on Canada's MQ-9B RPAS is anticipated to significantly enhance intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities across Canada's diverse landscapes, including the Arctic region.

The collaboration aims to deliver a critical RPAS capability in alignment with initiatives supporting NORAD, UN, NATO, and other allied operations.
