U.S., Allies Strike 36 Targets in Houti-Controlled Yemen

The United States and its partners conducted strikes against 36 Houthi targets at 13 locations in Iranian-backed Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.

These multilateral coalition strikes focused on targets in Houthi-controlled Yemen used to attack international merchant vessels and U.S. Navy ships in the region, a CENTCOM release said.

These Iranian-backed Houthi targets included multiple underground storage facilities, command and control, missile systems, UAV storage and operations sites, radars, and helicopters.

These strikes are intended to degrade Houthi capabilities used to continue their reckless and unlawful attacks on U.S. and U.K. ships as well as international commercial shipping in the Red Sea, Bab Al-Mandeb Strait, and the Gulf of Aden. 

Yemeni media reported:

The United States and Britain carried out a fresh round of strikes in the Yemeni capital Sana’a and other regions in the country late on Saturday. Almasirah Net reported that the US-UK aggression airstrikes targeted the Nahdayn and Attan areas south of the capital. The US-UK aggression also targeted the Bani Hashish district in the Sana'a governorate with two airstrikes.

More than 11 air raids were conducted against areas in the Maqbanah and Hayfan districts of Yemen's southwestern province of Taiz. the airstrikes focused on telecommunication networks in both districts.

Almasirah Net correspondent in Al-Hodeidah reported that the US and British forces conducted three strikes on al-Lahiya and As-Salif districts.

In Hajjah, Almasirah Net correspondent reported that the US-British aggression targeted the Abs district with seven airstrikes.
