Ukrainian Defense Industry Forges Strategic Partnership with Germany's MBD Deutschland in Anti-Drone Systems Collaboration

Ukrainian Defense Industry (UDI), also operating as Ukroboronprom State Concern, has signed a MoU with MBD Deutschland, outlining plans for a collaborative exploration of programs and opportunities in the field of air defense systems, with a particular focus on countering Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).

Areas of potential partnership include research, development, production, and investment.

German Smetanin, CEO of Ukrainian Defense Industry, emphasized the pragmatic aspects of the collaboration, stating, "Cooperation with the world's leading arms companies not only expands Ukraine's existing capabilities on the battlefield but also lays a foundation for the further development of our defense industry and its integration into the NATO defense industry."

Thomas Gottschild, Managing Director of MBDA Deutschland, acknowledged the significance of the agreement, saying, "This agreement marks a step in the relationship between the defense industries in our countries. I am looking forward to working with Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC, a player in European Defense."

The partnership aims to address evolving security challenges and contribute to the advancement of air defense capabilities.
