Turkish ASELSAN’s Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Completes Diving Test

The diving test of Turkey's first Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV). DERİNGÖZ, developed by ASELSAN, has been completed.

The DERINGÖZ is a modular structure with autonomous movement capability that can be used underwater for both military and civilian purposes, a company release said.

The DERINGÖZ is equipped with features such as high maneuverability, precise navigation ability, customizable mission payloads, optical and sonar imaging technologies, and wireless communication infrastructure.

It can be used effectively in many areas such as underwater research, reconnaissance and surveillance, mine detection, pipeline inspection, port and base protection.

The AUV can work at a depth of 600 meters, has wireless communication capability, and has payload configurations that can be modified according to need. Besides, it has a maximum speed of 5.5 knots and a scanning speed of 3 knots.
