The U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems one of 14 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for engineering and manufacturing services. The five-year contract has a $430 million ceiling value to all awardees if all options are exercised. General Dynamics Land Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics. Under the contract, General Dynamics Land Systems will use its innovation, prototyping, engineering and manufacturing expertise to assist TARDEC with its core focus areas, including system engineering, power and mobility, survivability, intelligent ground systems, vehicle electronics and architecture, force projection and software. "General Dynamics Land Systems has a growing relationship with TARDEC and is looking forward to working with suppliers, other General Dynamics business units and Michigan's technological universities to develop innovative and advanced solutions for the Army," said Mark Roualet, president of General Dynamics Land Systems. "We are fortunate to have some of the most advanced professionals, engineers, strategists, suppliers and universities in the country to provide the Army what it needs to move into the future."
