Northrop Grumman wins U.S. Army security assistance Training contract
The U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command and the Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation a contract to support the U.S. Army Security Assistance Training Management Organization (USASATMO). Under the terms of the five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity multiple-award contract, which has a ceiling value of $140 million, Northrop Grumman will support training, logistics and maintenance of selected friendly foreign military and paramilitary forces through the use of security assistance teams. Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor, partnered with System Studies and Simulations, Huntsville, Ala.; NEK Advanced Securities Group, Albuquerque, N.M.; and RLM Communications, Fayetteville, N.C. "Undoubtedly, our proven ability to prepare, manage and deploy, highly capable training teams into theatres of operation will benefit USASATMO," said Randall Perry, Northrop Grumman Technical Services program manager for the contract. "Northrop Grumman has the proven experience providing real world solutions for national defense, intelligence and other high-priority government missions".
