L3Harris Technologies is leading the integration of mission systems for the Team Lynx XM30, part of the U.S. Army's next-generation combat vehicle program.
The focus is on enhancing protection, mobility, future growth, and lethality using advanced digital engineering and Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA).
Team Lynx is one of two defense contractor teams selected to develop the XM30 Combat Vehicle. MOSA's open design allows for the integration of new technologies, avoiding vendor lock-in and expensive redesigns.
L3Harris is outfitting the Lynx XM30 with systems that improve sensing, processing, sharing, and automation. These upgrades increase crew lethality and maintain battlefield superiority against evolving threats.
The MOSA-driven enhancements enable the integration of next-generation sensors and weapons systems, improving threat detection and engagement. Data processing infrastructure supports real-time information sharing, enhancing decision-making and coordination. Automation reduces the cognitive load on the two-Soldier crew, allowing them to focus on mission-critical tasks.
