The U.S. Department of Defense has approved a potential sale of Hellfire missiles to the Czech Republic, valued at $138.3 million.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the necessary certification to Congress, notifying them of this prospective transaction.
The Czech Republic has requested the purchase of 200 Hellfire Air-to-Ground Missiles, AGM-114R; four Hellfire Captive Air Training Missiles (CATM); and 600 WGU-59A/B Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) II units. Additionally, the package includes support equipment, dummy cartridge rounds, containers, training material, inert components, publications, repair of repairables, and training and technical support.
Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL, and BAE Systems, Inc. in Nashua, NH, will be the principal contractors for this deal. This sale aims to enhance the Czech Republic's military capabilities and interoperability with U.S. forces.
