Spent nuclear fuel and chemicals that can be used to make "dirty bombs" are being supplied to Ukraine via Poland and Romania, the Russian Ministry of Defense said today.
A dirty bomb is a term used to describe a small nuclear explosive that can cause maximum damage within a given area.
Russia has once again urged the OPCW to carry out an impartial investigation into allegations of toxic chemical use by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, based on the evidence provided.
Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, Chief of the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defense Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, stated at a briefing that fuel and chemical waste could potentially be used to create a "dirty bomb" and conduct chemical provocations "under a false flag."
Kirillov also indicated that the Ministry of Defense is exploring the possibility of Ukrainian Armed Forces attempting to assassinate officials in newly annexed regions using chemical substances.
