The X-FRONTER drone, weighing just about 1 kilogram and compact enough to fit in a backpack, combines surveillance and combat capabilities.
The X-FRONTER is designed to provide real-time reconnaissance with its highly sensitive camera, allowing soldiers to see several kilometers around them. It can reach distances up to 2 kilometers and fly at speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour, soaring to altitudes of 300 meters and remaining airborne for up to 40 minutes.
This drone is an observer and also a potential attacker, capable of being equipped with small explosive charges and, in the future, thermobaric, high-explosive, and cumulative warheads.
The X-FRONTER can maintain secure, encrypted communications, making it difficult to disrupt. It also features advanced technology that allows groups of drones to operate in a coordinated swarm, with some units conducting reconnaissance while others carry out attacks.
WB Electronics likes to call the X-FRONTER a "portable artillery," promising to enhance the capabilities of every Polish soldier on the battlefield.
