Indonesia has donated and unspecified number of weapons and ammunition to the special forces of the Cambodian armed forces which were flown aboard a C-130 Hercules aircraft.
The handover ceremony was led by Air Vice-Marshal H. Haris Haryanto, Director General of Defense Potential at Indonesia's Ministry of Defense.
The event was attended by officials from the Ministry of Defense, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Mabes TNI), the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU), Cambodian delegates in Jakarta, and representatives from PT Pindad, an Indonesian defense manufacturer.
“This donation is a clear demonstration of Indonesia's commitment to supporting stability and security in Southeast Asia, as well as strengthening bilateral relations with Cambodia. Additionally, it serves as a platform to promote the rapidly growing domestic defense industry,” said Air Vice-Marshal Haryanto during his speech.
The type of weapons donated was specified. However PT Pindad, the company from which the weapons were sourced, manufactures various types of small arms.
