Three camouflaged HIMARS MLRS installations were destroyed by strikes by the Russian Armed Forces 20 kilometers southeast of the city of Sumy in Kursk region.

The strikes, termed  “the most effective in the entire history of the Ukraine war,” by Russian media, were carried out on the night of September 1.

Scouts discovered preparations for a massive shelling of border regions of Russia in the area of the settlement of Osoyevka, near the town of Sumy. Three HIMARS MLRS arrived there for this purpose. The information about this was passed on to soldiers operating surface-to-surface missiles.

A video posted on Russian media shows the first missile struck  a HIMARS launcher along with the crew. The second hit another HIMARS position a couple of minutes apart. The third HIMARS launcher remained intact and tried to leave the scene only to be ambushed by an attack drone that was chasing it. The crew of all three HIMARS installations were said to have been killed or severely injured. The incident happened near the settlement of Glybnoye.

Earlier a Ukrainian "Grad" MLRS  launcher was similarly destroyed after it gave away its position when it  fired at Russian positions near the village of Redkodub in the LPR. After the exercise, the crew tried to hide in a forest belt, but was discovered and eliminated with a precision missile.
