Leonardo has signed a new contract to enhance the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) military communications network with encryption and security measures.

The initiative aims to upgrade the UAE's defense communications infrastructure, ensuring enhanced data protection and resilience against cyber and physical threats.

The project will modernize secure communications and information systems, focusing on improving the availability, authenticity, integrity, and confidentiality of critical data. By implementing advanced encryption techniques, Leonardo will design a comprehensive, interoperable system capable of continuous upgrades to meet evolving security needs.

This contract is part of a broader UAE program initiated in 2017 to establish national secure communications capabilities, further solidifying Leonardo’s longstanding partnership with the UAE Armed Forces.
