RTX, through its businesses Collins Aerospace and Raytheon, presented new collaborative autonomy capabilities at the U.S. Army's Experimental Demonstration Gateway Event (EDGE).
The showcased technologies focused on enabling "launched effects," which are small uncrewed aircraft deployed from various platforms to support mission execution with human oversight.
Collins demonstrated the RapidEdge mission system, while Raytheon displayed its autonomy technologies from the Collaborative Operations in Denied Environment (CODE) program. These systems collaborated to find, track, and engage threats, leveraging open system architectures and mesh networks.
The event, sponsored by U.S. Army Futures Command, advances the Army's manned and unmanned teaming strategies for enhanced reconnaissance and combat capabilities.
