Future Combat Air System (FCAS)

Indra and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) have signed an agreement to develop advanced technologies for the Next Generation Weapon System (NGWS) / Future Combat Air System (FCAS) program.

This initiative, driven by Germany, Spain, and France, seeks to create defense systems for future military needs. The partnership will focus on supercomputing, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum computing. This collaboration will support the dual-use technologies crucial for both civil and defense sectors, enhancing capabilities in high-performance computing, AI applications, and quantum technologies.

The collaboration will facilitate the exchange of scientific knowledge and the development of new supercomputing infrastructures, software, and hardware. This will provide the necessary computing power to tackle complex scientific and technological challenges in Europe.

This agreement paves the way for further collaboration in simulation, modeling, AI research, and quantum computing. By working together, Indra and BSC will support the NGWS/FCAS program.
