PZL Mielec, a Lockheed Martin company, has completed the first-ever integration of its locally manufactured aft fuselage onto an F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft at Lockheed Martin's facility in Greenville, South Carolina.

The aft fuselage, which was completed at PZL Mielec in August 2023, was transported to the Greenville facility for the "mating" process. This process involves the precise alignment and attachment of the rear section of the aircraft to its main fuselage. It is a crucial stage in the F-16's assembly, ensuring that the aircraft maintains its structural integrity and performance standards. Following the mating, the F-16 will continue through the production line for further testing and eventual delivery to international customers.
