Turkey Orders Air Defense Radars from Aselsan
ALP-300G Portable Early Warning Radar System

ASELSAN has signed an agreement with Turkey's Presidency of Defense Industries to supply air defense radar systems worth $170 million (1.95 billion TL), according to a company announcement on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

The contract encompasses the delivery of advanced radar systems developed locally and nationally, including the ALP Portable Early Warning Radar System (TEIRS) and the ERALP long-range search radar. Deliveries are scheduled to take place from 2026 to 2031.

The ALP Portable Early Warning Radar System (TEIRS) is ASELSAN’s first long-range early warning radar system. It features an active electronically scanned array (AESA) and digital beamforming technology, allowing it to detect and track air targets over extended ranges. The system’s electronic beam steering capability and GaN-based transmit-receive modules enhance performance, while a friend-or-foe recognition subsystem and network-based radar logic enable superior target detection capabilities.

ERALP, another radar system included in the contract, employs S-Band technology and AESA architecture. It provides high mobility and rapid deployment on tactical wheeled platforms, making it suitable for integration with the SİPER air defense system. Like TEIRS, ERALP uses GaN technology and radar algorithms for detecting and tracking air targets at long ranges.
