Embraer has announced that the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU) and the Ministry of National Defense (MDN) of Uruguay have confirmed the firm order of five A-29 Super Tucano aircraft.

This decision follows an initial firm order for one aircraft made in August 2024, as part of Uruguay's ongoing fleet renewal program. The contract includes not only the aircraft but also mission equipment, integrated logistics services, and a flight simulator, aimed at boosting the FAU's operational capabilities.

The A-29 Super Tucano is capable of fulfilling an array of missions, including training, tactical operations, and surveillance.
