SELEX Sistemi Integrati at LIMA 2009

SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica Company, participates at the 2009 edition of LIMA, Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition, one of the major aerospace and defence sector events in Asia. In Malaysia and as well as in other countries in the South-East Asia region, SELEX Sistemi Integrati has a relevant presence as a leading supplier of electronic systems for Air Defence, naval applications and air traffic management. SELEX Sistemi Integrati presence in Malaysia dates back to the 1990s thanks to the supply of civil radar systems first, and of RAT 31DL air defence radar systems after. In 1994 the company founded the AAT – Advanced Air Traffic joint venture to transfer, especially within the air traffic system management field, the know-how and the technology in Malaysia. Recently the Finmeccanica company has signed a contract with the Department of the Malaysian Civil Aviation for the supply of civil air traffic control systems for eight airports of the country. The agreement covers a total amount of 66 operative workstations both centres and tower control systems and simulation and training centres. At Lima 2009, within the Finmeccanica Stand (B197 – B228), SELEX Sistemi Integrati displays its most important products and programs showing its capabilities in the field of Homeland Security with the Harbour Protection system ARCHIMEDE, in the Air Traffic Management and Airport Systems sectors with an ATM (Air Traffic Management) demonstrator, and in the Air Defence field showing RAT 31DL Air Surveillance radar.
