Indra to Acquire Spanish Defense Satellite Operator, Hispasat

Indra Group has signed an agreement with Redeia Corporación to acquire 89.68% of the share capital of Hispasat, a satellite operator and service provider, for €725 million.

Indra has secured €700 million in financing for the deal, with the remaining amount to be covered using existing cash. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals in Spain and other jurisdictions, approval from Indra’s General Shareholders' Meeting, and agreements for the accounting consolidation of Hisdesat Servicios Estratégicos S.A., which provides government satellite services for defense, security, intelligence, and foreign affairs.
