Embraer Executive Jets has signed its largest-ever deal with Flexjet, a major provider of fractional ownership jet services, for the sale of 182 aircraft, valued at up to $7 billion.
The agreement also includes options for 30 additional aircraft and a comprehensive services and support package.
The purchase agreement, announced on February 5, covers the Praetor 600, Praetor 500, and Phenom 300E models. Flexjet, which has been a long-term customer of Embraer, will nearly double its fleet size over the next five years with this acquisition. The order also makes Flexjet the first fleet operator to introduce the upgraded Phenom 300E model.
Flexjet’s relationship with Embraer dates back to 2003, when Flight Options, later merged into Flexjet, introduced the Legacy Executive jet into its fleet. Since then, Flexjet has been the first fleet customer for multiple Embraer models, including the Phenom 300 and Praetor series.
