Russian Su-57 jet fighter aircraft arrived at the Yelahanka air base this afternoon to participate in Aero India 2025 making it the first new Russian fighter aircraft to fly to in India in over a quarter century.
The top of the line Russian fighter features an ability to carry weapons in its internal bay that accentuates its stealth features besides an AESA radar that provides 360 degree vision.
The aircraft bearing index number T-50-4 is an advanced prototype which is expected to enthral crowds at Aero India air show with its breathtaking aerobatics.
The aircraft is said to be super-maneuverable achieved by the perfect integral layout of the airframe with deflect-able inflows at the wing roots, as well as the AL-41F1 turbofan engine and a thrust-to-weight ratio of more than 1.2 kgf/kg, according to Russian media sources.
