U.S. Approves $165M Sale of Countermeasures to Australia

The U.S. State Department has approved a potential $165 million Foreign Military Sale to Australia for countermeasures, chaff, and impulse cartridges, with the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notifying Congress of the decision.

Australia has requested MJU-61, MJU-64, MJU-66, and MJU-76 decoy flares, RR-198A/L chaff cartridges, CCU-145/A impulse cartridges, and related support equipment. The sale also includes technical assistance, logistics, and program support.

Kilgore Flares Company, Armtec Countermeasures Company, Alloy Surface Company, and CCI Capco LLC will be the principal contractors.
