A U.S.-manufactured MaxxPro armored personnel carrier (APC) used by Ukrainian forces was reportedly burned by Russian FPV drone operators in the South Donetsk direction, according to footage released by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The incident involved operators from Russia’s Vostok group of forces, who reportedly identified the Ukrainian APC during an aerial reconnaissance mission. “Thanks to the skillful actions of our UAV operators, the vehicle was completely destroyed along with its personnel,” stated a report from the Russian military.
The MaxxPro APC, originally built for the U.S. military, has been part of Western military assistance to Ukraine during the ongoing conflict. The destruction marks another instance of Western-supplied equipment being targeted in combat.
Footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry shows a drone approaching the moving vehicle before detonating. No independent confirmation of the event has been made public.
Separately, Russian forces reported actions by Ivanovo-based paratroopers in the Chasov Yar area over the past week. According to military sources, the unit neutralized 30 Ukrainian UAVs referred to as “Baba Yaga.” These drones are reportedly used for munition delivery, mine placement, and shell drops.
These developments come amid continued drone warfare along multiple sectors of the frontline, where both sides have increasingly relied on unmanned aerial systems for reconnaissance, vehicle targeting, and infantry support.
