Indian laser guided bombs find their target
Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) developed Laser Guided Bombs have demonstrated accuracy and reliability in user trails held by the Indian Air Force in Pokhran, Rajasthan. The laser guided bombs have been developed by ADE a DRDO aeronautical lab at Bangalore which designed and developed the lethal bombs. Flight tests have demonstrated the accuracy, reliability and performance of these precision air launched bombs, a DRDO press release quoted to spokesperson Ravi Kumar Gupta said. The tests have been conducted after extensive, simulation, design validation, ground experiments followed by series of flight evaluation. A number of high tech components have also been developed by Indian industries for this advanced weapon package. Indian Air Force is expected to upgrade a large number of unguided bombs to this standard based on the “excellent” results seen. The demand for the laser guided bombs will be in thousands over a period of a few years.
