Saab awarded $46 million contract for Carl-Gustaf weapon systems

Defence and security company Saab has signed a contract for components to the Carl-Gustaf man-portable weapon system. The total value of the order is MSEK 357. “This is very positive and it further proves the capability of the Carl-Gustaf system which until now has been exported to more than 40 customers around the world”, says Tomas Samuelsson, Head of business area Dynamics within Saab. Delivery will take place during 2010-2011. At the request of the customer, further details regarding the contract will not be announced. The information is that which Saab AB is required to declare by the Securities Business Act and/or the Financial instruments Trading Act.
