Rockwell Collins has been awarded a four-year contract for the U.S. Navy's Hawkeye Integrated Training System - Maintenance (HITS-M) program. Under the terms of the agreement, Rockwell Collins will serve as the prime contractor in designing and developing the first integrated maintenance training systems on the E-2D platform. Prior to this contract, Rockwell Collins was awarded the E-2D HITS-A (Aircrew) contract and has performed and delivered the E-2C Weapon System Trainer (WST) and Simulated Maintenance Trainer (SMT). "With the award of the E-2D HITS-M contract, Rockwell Collins continues to be positioned as the premier provider for Hawkeye training solutions," said Ken Schreder, vice president and general manager of Simulation & Training Solutions for Rockwell Collins. "Our integrated training solutions will be used to provide maintenance technicians with the latest blended training capabilities, consisting of classroom instruction, PC-based and physical device trainers."
