Goodrich awarded $10 million contract for fighter aircraft from Egyptian Air Force

Goodrich has been awarded a $10.84 million contract for one DB110 reconnaissance pod system for use on the F-16C/D Block 50/52 fighter aircraft being purchased by the Egyptian Air Force. According to Goodrich, the DB-110 generates simultaneous high-resolution visible and infrared imagery for high-altitude tactical reconnaissance missions. It features three fields-of-view for long-range standoff missions, and is capable of medium-range oblique and overflight operations and low-altitude direct overflights. This purchase and deployment of the systems will be handled by Goodrich Surveillance & Reconnaissance Systems of Chelmsford, Mass. This contract supports the Peace Vector VII program per agreement with the Foreign Military Sale customer, Egypt. ASC/WINK, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
