EADS wins $21M contract for helicopters from US Defense

EADS North American Defense, Arlington, Va., was awarded on March 28 a $21,468,420 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the procurement of four UH-72A light utility helicopters; four airborne radio communication 231 system production cut-in; and one engine inlet barrier filter production cut-in. Work will be performed in Columbus, Miss., with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2012. One bid was solicited with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
