Saab Wins Swedish Helicopter Support Contract

FMV has awarded Saab AB, Support and Services, a support and maintenance contract for Helicopter 15 (HPK15). The contract extends over a period of 6 years, beginning 2012, with options for additional 4 years. The agreement is a complete solution were Saab takes responsibility for all maintenance and inspections over 100 flight hours, Saab is also responsible for administration and management of the stock of spare parts and replaceable units as well as for maintenance tools. “This maintenance contract gives flexibility to the Swedish Armed Forces regarding the availability of technicians and mechanics. The Swedish Armed Forces has the possibility to order additional technicians and mechanics, depending on availability of technicians and mechanics within Swedish Armed Forces in the future," says Christer Mellgren, Programme Manager HKP15.
