ULS Wins $575M contract for Satellites from US Defense

United Launch Services, LLC, Littleton, Colo., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $575,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle launch services in support of the following missions: -- Mobile User Objective Services 2; -- Wideband Global Satellite Communications 6; and -- National Reconnaissance Office Launch 65. At this point, $245,250,000 has been obligated. Work will be performed in Littleton, Colo. The Space and Missile Systems Center/Launch and Range Systems Directorate, El Segundo Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (FA8811-11-C-0001).
