Cubic Wins Contracts for Training & Technical Integration with Australian Army

Cubic Defence Australia, the Australian defense subsidiary of Cubic Corporation, has won a contract with the Australian Army to provide collective training services, and a technical integration contract to support Australian and U.S. instrumentation during Exercise Talisman Sabre 2011. "The Australian Army Collective Training Services Standing Offer is a contract for providing a variety of collective training services in support of the Australian Army Headquarters Forces Command and the Headquarters 1st Division," said Mark Horn, General Manager with Cubic Defence Australia. Forces Command, headquartered in Sydney, is responsible for raising, training and sustaining the Army's foundation warfighting capability through a variety of individual and collective training, which is training soldiers in groups in order to improve their performance as a group. Based in Brisbane, Headquarters 1st Division is responsible for Australian Army force preparation training, which prepares soldiers and units for deployments.
