DRS Tactical Wins $248M Contract for vehicle from US Army

DRS Tactical Systems, Inc., Melbourne, Fla., was awarded a $248,260,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The award will provide for the procurement of installation kits to support the electrical and mechanical interfaces between the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below systems and the vehicle platform. Work location will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 22, 2014. The bid was solicited through the Internet, with 10 bids received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity.
