Indonesia is set to buy up to 60 infantry fighting vehicles from Russia in a deal worth more
than $100 million, according to local news paper Izvestia. Although, the deal is expected to be finalized on February 10, Indonesia will recieve 20
BMP-3 vehicles before the end of the year. Kurganmashzavod, the manufacturer of the BMP-3, said that it will produce modified
vehicles for the use of the Indonesian Army. In 2010, the Russian army stopped purchasing the infantry fighting vehicles.
