Royal Thai Army Awards Bell Contract To Refurbish 212 Series Helicopters

Bell Helicopter has won the Royal Thai Army Contract to modify and refurbish eight Army Bell 212 helicopters. Bell Helicopter Asia will work with Bell Helicopter's independent representative Royal Airport Services on this in-country program. The Royal Thai Army operates a large fleet of helicopters in Thailand with the majority of them being Bell Helicopter products. Danny Maldonado, senior vice president and Chief Services Officer for Bell Helicopter, “Modifying and refurbishing these Bell 212s will provide the Royal Thai Army improved mission capabilities". The Bell 212 is a two-bladed, twin-engined, medium helicopter. It is a derivative of the "Huey" family of helicopters that have proven their reliability, ruggedness, and multi-mission capabilities for many years.
