Pakistan Tests Nuclear Cruise Missile, Successfully Launches Hatf- VII

Pakistan has effectively flight tested its indigenously assembled Hatf-VII (Babur) cruise Missile today which is capable of carrying both nuclear and conventional warheads. Armed with stealth capabilities such as radar avoidance, the missile can travel up to a range of 700 kilometers, pin-point accuracy with high maneuverability. In what appears to be a response to India’s Agni V, the new long-range nuclear ballistic missile capable of hitting China that was successfully flight tested last month. “It also incorporates the most modern cruise missile technology of Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) and Digital Scene Matching and Area Co-relation (DSMAC), which enhances its precision and effectiveness manifolds," according to a statement issued by the Pakistani Military. Launched from a state-of-the-art multi tube Missile Launch Vehicle (MLV), the Babur Weapon System significantly enhances the targeting and employment options.
